During the expo, the organizers, alongside Southeast Asian associations such as the Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (APRINDO) and the ASEAN Retail Chain and Franchise Federation (ARFF), hosted a forum titled “Exploring the Future of Retail: Shifts in Consumer Behavior and New Industry Opportunities in the Post-Pandemic Era”. HEADING’s CEO and General Manager, Jiang Zuoliang, was invited to deliver a keynote speech. He first praised the immense potential of the Southeast Asian market and elaborated on HEADING’s business scope and strengths in commercial digital intelligence. On August 31st, MINISO’s Central Park flagship store in Jakarta—its largest global store—officially opened, captivating local consumers with its unique business model and diverse product lines. Similarly, POP MART has rapidly expanded in Southeast Asia with its trendy toy concepts, opening its first store in Gandaria City, a prime commercial area in South Jakarta, marking its 100th overseas store in regions including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The soaring popularity of Chinese retail brands like MINISO and POP MART not only validates the region’s strong recognition of Chinese retail models but also highlights the immense potential for Chinese retail digital solutions in Southeast Asia.
