Partnering with HEADING to Embark on Digital Intelligence Upgrade

Kee Wah's operations span multi‑warehouse collaboration and a hybrid B2B/B2C model. In 2026, HEADING provided Kee Wah with iWMS—a warehouse management solution deeply tailored for the food industry and gift customization scenarios. From inventory control, putaway, picking, outbound, to traceability, Kee Wah's workflow has been optimized. HEADING's intelligent logistics solution has enabled a dual leap in warehouse management and logistics efficiency. After the go‑live of HEADING iWMS, improvements are seen not only in workflow optimization but also in key business metrics—reports are now clearly structured, automatically generated, and overall work efficiency has greatly increased.

    Project Highlights

    1. Refined on‑site inventory management with full transparency. Previously, inventory information was only held by item managers. Now, the system enables precise management of each pallet's expiry date and location. Warehouse stock can be directly queried via computers or RF terminals, providing a clear view of inventory status at a glance.

    2.  Smart putaway recommendations, eliminating reliance on manual judgment during receiving. Food warehousing has strict storage condition requirements. HEADING has added recommendation rules based on temperature zones, allergens, halal, and other storage categories. The system automatically matches the optimal storage location, reducing misplacement risk from the source。

    3. Wave‑driven picking, improving both efficiency and accuracy. The system automatically calculates inventory and demand, combined with expiry date policies, to generate picking tasks, replacing manual searching. It also supports picking by scanning batch numbers, accurately deducting inventory from corresponding batches, enabling true food safety traceability.

    4. Flexible scheduling of external warehouses, making multi‑warehouse collaboration no longer a "black box." Adopting a cross‑docking‑like management model, it supports manual flexible allocation of stores and quantities for each external warehouse, meeting multi‑warehouse collaborative shipment needs.

    5. Classified order processing, precisely tailored for hybrid B2B and B2C operations. The system generates batch picking (seeding) tasks and order picking (picking) tasks according to order types, ensuring each order is shipped efficiently and accurately.

    6. End‑to‑end operational visibility, with real‑time data supporting management decisions. Key information such as un‑putaway inventory and picking progress can be visually checked via the system interface. Stockout situations are simultaneously fed back to the order department, facilitating reasonable scheduling.

The successful implementation of HEADING's smart logistics solution at Kee Wah is a typical practice of warehouse digital intelligence transformation in the food industry—from "people managing goods" to "systems managing goods," and from "experience‑driven" to "data‑driven." In the future, both parties will continue to collaborate to explore more possibilities for supply chain digital intelligence transformation in the food industry.
